Behavioral Medicine

The science and art of BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE seeks to modulate the “mind-body connection” so that you can attain maximal physical and emotional health.
The emphasis is on understanding how the mind and emotions effect your physical health as well as how life style decisions directly effect both your mind and body.

Patients are taught Relaxation Training and how to restructure their outlook on life and disease.

Problems which have been shown to be helped by Behavioral Medicine include head ache, anxiety, many bowel disorders including both Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, depression, sleep disorders, and hypertension.

There is even data showing the effectiveness of Behavioral Medicine for heart disease and infertility.
