DR. PETER ROMANELLO was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His high school days were spent at St. Francis Preparatory in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Queens College in Queens, New York, where he majored in Chemistry. He received his B.S. degree from the University of the State of New York in 1978. He then attended the New York Chiropractic College receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1979. In addition, in 1986 he received his M.S. Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Upon graduating from New York Chiropractic College in 1979, he practiced in New York City for ten years. Upon relocating to New Hampshire in 1989, he continued practice chiropractic. Aside from the practice he maintains at the Center for Integrative Medicine, he is employed at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Concord performing chiropractic services in the orthopedic department.
Dr. Romanello has been on the Board of the New Hampshire Chiropractic Association for the past thirteen years and is currently serving as the Immediate Past President.
Aside from his very dedicated life to his family, patients, and profession he enjoys being active in exercise. Running, swimming, and weight training are his regular exercises, although when time permits, he enjoys skiing, tennis, and golf. In his High School and College days, he competed in team sports such as football, baseball and track. He has completed five marathons, five mini-triathalons, and numerous road races over the past twenty-five years. He also received his First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Korean Karate, in 1974, while completing his undergraduate studies at Queens College. In addition, he's played baseball in the Over 30 Granite State Baseball League, and continues to play baseball in the Over 40 New Hampshire Baseball League.
Dr. Romanello is involved in the Center for Integrative Medicine because he believes that the multi-disciplinary approach to health is best for the patient.
This approach is successful when Health Care Practitioners are able to communicate with each other and respect the individual disciplines. Dr. Romanello believes this approach exists at the Center for Integrative Medicine.
