Walk-in Acupuncture Clinic, Center for Health Promotion. Center For Integrative Medicine - Balancing the Best of Complementary and Alternative Medicine

The Center for Integrative Medicine is announcing the opening of our new Walk-in Acupuncture Clinic, which is located at the Center for Health Promotion.

Our acupuncture treatments are administered in the group setting by licensed acupuncturists using pre-sterilized, single-use stainless steel disposable needles.

Clients are seated for 30 to 45 minutes in a quiet setting. These are shortened versions of the typical acupuncture treatments with which Americans have become familiar, but in China this is a more typical setting, where clients can come often and cost is not prohibitive.

Acupuncture can help with many conditions, including:

Pain	Wound healing
Depression	Infertility
Edema	Hot flashes
Asthma	Menstrual irregularity
Head colds	Head aches and migraines
Stress relief	Secondary symptoms of stroke
Gastro-intestinal disorders	Secondary diabetes symptoms
Substance abuse detoxification
Reduction of cravings with addictive behavior
Reduction of the side effects from weaning off painkillers or anti-depressants
Reduction of the side effects from chemotherapy, radiation, interferon or tamoxifen

Many conditions respond well to frequent or long term treatments, the cost of which may preclude some people from using acupuncture.

We hope to eliminate that financial concern with our group clinic. Still, some conditions will require the more individualized attention of full-body acupuncture treatments, which are offered at the Center for Integrative Medicine by appointment only.

Hours:
Wednesday and Friday 9:00-11:00 am -
(Must be seated by 10:15)
Tuesday 4:00-6:00 pm - (Must be seated by 5:15)

No appointments are necessary.
Treatment cost is $25 per visit.
Currently, no insurance coverage exists for acupuncture for treatments of this type.
